My 6 Month Old Granddaughter Has An Unusually Large Head

My 6 month old granddaughter has an unusually large head . It is off the charts. She is big baby anyway. My son has to take her back to her doctor in a month for a recheck. Any ideas on what the dr. might be looking for? I am somewhat concerned since I have thought that her head look larger than normal for the last couple of months.
