My 6 Year Old Son Came To Us Tonight Asking

My 6 year Old son came to us tonight asking us if we felt a bump on the left top side of his head and when we felt it was not a bump it was an indentation about an itch long and half an inch wide. We have never noticed it before and have no clue why it's there we don't remember him hurting his head recently Either. What could it be?
