My 6 Year Old Grandson Just Expelled A Blood Clot

My 6 year old grandson just expelled a blood clot with some bright red blood when he had a bowel movement. There was a small amount of blood on the toilet paper when wiped, but there does not appear to be any bleeding now. Does this need emergency attention?
