My 6 Year Old Son Has Had An Intermittent Fever

My 6 year old son has had an intermittent fever and dry cough for 10 days now his fever has spiked 2 times close to 103f he had a chest xray done yesterday but nothing was found. He recovered from pneumonia about 1 month ago. The er doctor thinks it's just a virtual thing. We are sick of being sick. His temp right now is 100.2
