Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7 almost 8 yr old daughter has been diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection and was prescribed prednisolone for it. She also has asthma as well so she has been taking a albuterol inhaler and nebulizer as well as Benadryl. She was taking over the counter cough suppressant decongestant as well until the Dr said not to. Any how I know the coughing will be worse laying down so her mattress is propped up a bit but after the first dose of prednisolone for the first time she had started getting a red warm to the touch raised rash across her back neck and shoulders and face as well as uncontrollably coughing bent doubled over gasping for air between coughs as much as she could. The Dr says give it to her again and see if it happens again. She reacted well I think she had an allergic reaction t her very first dose. We gave her the 2nd dose after talking to the Dr yesterday and nothing happened. But tonight the same thing happened with the rash and coughing and gasping. I don't know if you can see pictures but I do have some of the rash. I'm really stumped and need more brainstorm troops. I mean is one of thosemeds having a bad reaction to each other is actually the prednisolone.. I didn't know plz help
