My 7 Week Old Has Been Inconsolable For 2 Days

My 7 week old has been inconsolable for 2 days now. He also is making gasping noises when he starts crying hystarically or he will choke himself while crying. Before this started he has been having really runny poopy diapers and will go a day or so without having a poopy diaper. He is exclusively breastfed and he is my first. His doctor has already said he has reflux and a dairy allergy so I have cut all dairy from my diet. What could be wrong with him and how do I keep him calm and happy?
