My 7 Year Old Fell And Hit His Shin On

My 7 year old fell and hit his shin on a culvert in a ditch trick or treating last Friday night. It was swollen but he has had no pain this week. Tonight I looked at it and actually felt the bone and there is a hard lump where he hit his bone. It hurt when I touched it. Should I worry and get it looked at or is it still healing?
