My 7 Year Old Said He Bit A Hard Piece

My 7 year old said he bit a hard piece of cereal this morning and heard a crack he thought something broke. Later he realized his tooth was a little black and bleeding a little. When he showed me this evening and I touched it the tooth was barely hanging onto the gums. So I pulled it out but now it looks like his root is still intact, what should I do?!
