My 8 Year Old Friends Son Has Been Having Fever,

My 8 year old friends son has been having fever, vomiting and nausea since Monday. fever range is 101 to 104 currently. They just left the doctors office where they have put him on antibiotics along with Motrin and Tylenol. Alternating between the 2 for a virus. He throws up the tylenol but tolerates the motrin. The concern is we just left the Doctors office where he was running a 101 fever, only to get home to a 104 fever. They are not comfortable with the 104 fever and want to take him to the ER. Should they?
