My 81 Year Old Grandmother Is Very Frail And Bruises

My 81 year old grandmother is very frail and bruises easily. Yesterday, it looks like a vessel around the ankle burst, causing swelling and bruising covering the entire foot. It seems to be spreading up her leg, albeit slow. Currently I have it iced and elevated above her heart level in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Im not sure if I'm doing the right thing.
