My 81 Year Old Mother Is A Type One Diabetic.

My 81 year old mother is a type one diabetic. She controls her diabetes very well, but she has recently developed a bacterial and yeast infection that won't go away. She has been on medications for 3 weeks with no results. What can be done? Thank you.
