My 84 Year Old Mother Is Recovering From A Repair

My 84 year old mother is recovering from a repair of a rectocele (end of July). She was just hospitalized for 2 days for IV antibiotics secondary to an infection/drainage that they are attributing to a Bartholin cyst gone wild that caused plum sized swelling in the vaginal wall. Now home taking Cipro and Flagyl. She is now experiencing frequent, powdery stools and is very concerned. Could this be related to medication? I said she needs to call her surgeons office tomorrow but she is worried. Ever heard of this before?
