My 87 Year Old Mom Is In The Hospital. I

My 87 year old mom is in the hospital. I realize that she is close to her last breath. The doc just called and told me that her lactic acid levels are at 5. He said the next step is to put a line into her groin or neck. My brother and I are struggling to decide if this will extend her life or if it is just a stop gap to keep her more comfortable. She has a DNR with fluid only for end of life.
