My 87 Year Old Mother Has Severe Spinal Stenosis And

My 87 year old mother has severe spinal stenosis and the last MRI cannot even see the spinal cord in the lumbar region. We are seeing a pain management doc in two weeks, but she is suffering from intense itching not only on her spine, but hands and arms as well. Ruling out blood pressure and thyroid meds, could the stenosis be causing the itch?
