My 9 Year Old Jack Russell Has Very Bad Smelling

My 9 year old jack russell has very bad smelling gas, in fact smells when he walks into the room. he had a very loose poo yesterday that was very foul smelling. he seems well and happy otherwise. we have two dogs and one of them through the night had poo on a mat and there was blood in the very loose stuff.
