Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 9 year old son has had a fever of 101, consistently, every 6-8 hours for the past 72 hours. He has a headache when the fever spikes and he sounds "throaty". He sounds like his throat is swollen and sore but he does not complain of any sore throat. He acts fine and well with Tylenol/motrin on board. I think it must be a virus and needs to run its coarse, but at what point do I take him to the doctor?
