My 9 Yr. Old Daughter Just Had A BMT Procedure

My 9 yr. old daughter just had a BMT procedure done Friday. She does a sinus rinse twice daily and the rinse now comes out of her ear. I called the on all ENT Doctor and asked if that was normal and should I still do the rinse. He said it's not common but he did not seemed concerned about it and said I can still do the rinse. I'm now worried that if the rinse can come out of her ear then dirty water from a bath, pool or other, can get in her ears and sinuses. My daughter also says that when she breaths in from her nose, air gets sucked in through her ears and when she blows out air blows out of her ears. Should I be worried? Is this normal?
