My 90 Year Old Father Had Stroke Last Friday, Later

My 90 year old father had stroke last Friday, later that night ( very early in the morning @ approx 5 or 6 am) he tried to get out of his hospital bed (he kicked at a nurse and said he was going to his gal's) after that it seemed he may have had another stroke because he had partial paralysis on right side. They did an mri that did pickup an event deep in the brain & also a blocked artery in left side of his neck. He failed swallow test but in 2 days seems to be getting better until night fall hits. He then seems to be depressed, cried the night before & then tonight said he was ready to go home and was trying to get out of bed again...Is this normal?
