My 92 1/2 year young dad recently had what we thought was a muscle spasm in his back/shoulder blade area. He could not sleep or get comfortable, anxiety ensued. After a week, he was diagnosed with fluid on his lungs, which apparently often goes hand in hand with heart failure. He had an echocardiogram with showed reduced heart pumping action. He has a bovine valve, which is working fine. He had previously 6 years ago had two congestive heart failures. He was prescribed 80mg of lasik, which cleared the lungs and appears to be recovering. I just noticed some lesions on his lower arm, which are blister like but firm. Is this a delayed reaction to his recent heart failure or perhaps something separate? Regardless, I will take him to a dermatologist this week. I just wanted to know if it might have anything to do with his heart failure. Thanks.
