My 92 Year Old Mom Has A Rash Over Her

My 92 year old mom has a rash over her entire body. She scratches first one place then the other. She scratches the blood out of her skin. She has dementia. She even scratches when she is sleeping. We are now seeing the hematologist because the dermatologist and allergist have not been able to help. Something now shows up in her blood. Any ideas?
