My 92 Year Old Mom Was Recently Diagnosed With Neuropathy.

My 92 year old mom was recently diagnosed with neuropathy. She is not diabetic. Her coordination and use of her fingers is affected. She does not have tingling or numbness. What tests should be administered? The neurologist did tests in the office to check her reflexes and sensitivity. The doctor said that she has severe neuropathy. She has had multiple falls and her balance is very poor. At this point, some blood work was done however I don't see that there was any screening for vitamin deficiency.
