My 92 Year Old Mother Who Lives In A Nursing

My 92 year old mother who lives in a nursing home has developed a rash on her side. Based on the nurse's report to the doctor, he is treating it as shingles, although he has not seen the rash and nobody has made that diagnosis. My daughter is about to have a baby, any day, with a midwife. She is having a home/water birth. Can I be there? Help with the birth? Take care of my 18 month old granddaughter?
