My 93 Year Old Father Resides At A Nursing Home.

My 93 year old father resides at a nursing home. He has been quite content there up until now. He is agitated and upset, wanting to live on his own. This would be totally unsafe with his dementia, weak heart, hypertension and diabetes. He has lost much of his vision in one eye and the other is impaired. He is asking about his funeral arrangements and seems to be ready to go. How should we ( my brother and I as well as the adult grandchildren) deal with him during those agitated states? How should we respond to his demands to live alone? How can we communicate to him that we are here to listen if he wants to talk about death?
