My 95 Year Old Mother Has Developed A Sudden Onset

My 95 year old mother has developed a sudden onset hearing loss. Her nurses have removed wax build up by irrigating the ear canals, but she can't hear like she did before this procedure. She had very good hearing to this point. Any ideas on what may be the cause? Nevermind....will contact ENT specialist here? Thanks anyway.
