My Aunt...is 72 Years Old...she Has Smoked Most Of Her

My Aunt...is 72 years old...she has smoked most of her life..she has quit the past 2 years...she has psoriosis and copd. how can this be related? What can she do to help her to breathe and live longer. She is currently on sugar pills as well and oxygen for her breathing. She keeps relating her psorisis on her sugar I feel it might be related to her lungs... Can you help?
