My Dad Has IPF, Has Just Been Prescribed Morphine5mg Twice

My Dad has IPF, has just been prescribed morphine5mg twice a day. I am a little confused as reading amount morphine t recommends not to be taken if you have breathing problems. He is on oxygen but still seems to run out of breath when moving around.
Any advice would be appreciated
