My Dad Has Been On Antibiotics For Some Time For

My Dad has been on antibiotics for some time for an infection related to an artificial knee replacement. They had to remove the hardware etc. He is now in rehab having treatment for something in his stomach caused by taking the antibiotics. The called it something like c dus but I can't find any info on this. Can you help?
