My Dad Is 87 And Has Blood In His Urine

My Dad is 87 and has blood in his urine only when having a bowel movement. He is taking iron and high blood pressure meds but that is the only meds he takes. He also seems to have lost a lot of energy the last few weeks. Should I be concerned? He keeps telling me its probably the pressure on the prostate that is the problem and no need to go to Dr. Thank you In advance
