My Dad Just Went For His Annual Checkup And Was

My Dad just went for his annual checkup and was told he needed a pacemaker because the different sides of his heart are not communicating. He just got over bronchitis/pneumonia. Does he really need the pacemaker or is he just having further symptoms of his pneumonia? This is very sudden. He has been in the woods cutting his own firewood up until a couple of months ago. My Dad has always been very healthy. He is 85 years young.
