My ENT Just Told Me I Have Enlarged Salivary Gland

My ENT just told me I have enlarged salivary gland located under my tongue, the right gland is larger than the left one. She said not to worry about it, just monitor to see if they get bigger, or if they bleed. But I forgot to ask why they are enlarged. What are possible causes?
