My Father-in-law Just Had At Least Triple Bypass Surgery, And

My Father-in-law just had at least triple bypass surgery, and apparently had a stroke during the operation, on the right side of his brain ( his right side is dominant ) They are saying that within three days we should see brain swelling going down and see improvement. He is paralyzed on left side, but his left leg twitched/spasm. Do you feel he could fully recover from this? He is 78 and has always been "healthy", but wasn't feeling well, went in and they wanted EKG...it showed a blip going down where it should have gone up, so went for angiogram...they couldn't do it because he was so clogged up!! They had trouble finding veins to fix an aneurysm as well.
