My Father Is 85 Years Old. He Has Been On

My Father is 85 years old. He has been on Metatoporal and recently because of neuropathy in his legs, was given Gabapentin. Since taking this, he is beginning to show signs of Dementia and memory loss and confusion in his daily activities. Is this a result of his medication?
