My Mom just had surgery for knee replacement. However, there was a significant infection that changed the surgery to a cleanup of the infection-- the doctors had not taken her word for the change in type of pain and became n army immobilized by the pain. Now she is recovering from the debridemnt surgery which took n army 4 hours. She is receiving daily antibiotic infusion for 6 weeks into a PIC line to the heart. She is now retaining fluid and her feet are swelling. Her thigh has been very swollen since the surgery. What do I look for to determine if I need to get her to the doctor? Thanks, Cheryl
