My Psychiatrist prescribed vistaril because She won't prescribe any more Anti depressants.is for me because after trying Wellbutrin and lexapro she suggested I speak with a therapist and take the anti anxiety instead as needed. I have taken Effexor and many other anti-depressants for 0ver 20 yrs. I have not had a drink of alcohol in 27 yrs. My problem has been anger since I have not been on an anti-depressant will vistaril help my anger
