My Adult Daughter Has Had Pneumonia For Over A Week.

My adult daughter has had pneumonia for over a week. Another x-ray shows no significant change in her lungs, even after a round of antibiotics. Her doctor said it is possible that the mucus has encased (?). What does this mean, and what is the treatment?
