My Almost Four Year Old Fell On The Playground Off

My almost four year old fell on the playground off a ladder. He landed pretty hard on either his back or hip. He is doing fine. Except when he gets up to walk he says it hurts. He cries when he lifts his right leg and when he walks.. Is it just bruised? Should I take him to ER?
