My arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid) is really causing my blood pressure to escalate, due to pain. Driving, opening milk containers, water and pill bottles, ziplock bags, etc., are nearly impossible due to pain and swelling. My doctor (Rheumotologist) had me on a very mild anti-inflammatory for the past 2 years. I recently went off and notice NO difference--- I'm miserable and frequently in tears due to the constant pain. She thinks my primary should put me on blood pressure meds, but I think the cause needs to be addressed. Isn't there anything else that can give me some relief? My hands, wrists, knees, hips, feet and upper cervical spine are most effected but my hands and wrists are consistantly giving me the most discomfort. I'm 59 years old and want my ACTIVE lifestyle back!!! I must add, I'm allergic to aspirin and have tried a ton of holistic remedies/cures.
