My Baby Has Been Diagnosed With Amoebiasis, Her Stool Exam

My baby has been diagnosed with Amoebiasis, her stool exam results were as follows; Rbc -15/hpf
Wbc 35-40/hpf, Bacteria - many, Color - green, Consistency - watery. She is taking Cefuroxime for 3 days now as she has fever for 5 days, but when we got her stool exam result her doctor advised to stop Cefuroxime and take Metronidazole instead. I was thinking of continuing her cefuroxime as she has many bacteria in her stool and as I've read that Antibiotics should be given at least for 5 days otherwise the bacteria will have resistance to that type of antibiotic, is this true? What should I do best? Thanks for your response
