My Baby Is 6 Weeks Old, Mostly Breastfed But Give

My baby is 6 weeks old, mostly breastfed but give some formula, and keeps getting constipated. She will be up all night screaming and pushing and can't go. I tried the thermometer in her butt and she pushed and screamed but nothing came out. How can I help her?
