My Been Having A Lot Of Chess Pain And Shortness

My been having a lot of chess pain and shortness of breath. He was at the hospital and returned today for a stress test. He has been told he has blockage and it depends how bad it is but they are doing a procedure of an angiogram next week and may do balloon and stent. He has been told they won't know until they do it. We (the siblings) are concerned. Is this common for a 65 year old person and how concerning it is? Thank you
