My Best Friend Has Bronchitis And Lives Alone. I Have

My best friend has Bronchitis and lives alone. I have COPD and need to go try and help him.
Besides wearing a mask and washing my hands what other steps should I take to protect myself?
He has been seen by a Doctor and has been giving Rx's but has no one to help him.... Thank you
