My Bother Who Is 69 Yrs Old And Is Mentally

My bother who is 69 yrs old and is mentally challenged woke up yesterday we notice his noise was red and swollen.. we did not think of it to much we thought maybe he bloo his noise and it caused it to be red. but today when he awoke he noise is still red and when we squeeze it. its hot and it hurts him what caould this be
