My Boyfriend Got Scabies From His Miniature Pet Pig And

My boyfriend got scabies from his miniature pet pig and his friend who stayed at his house for a week got them as well. We have been dating for a month and I would fall asleep over at his house at times - we have not had sex though - so far I have not shown any signs of scabies and he is being treated and has been out of town for the past two weeks. I was wondering if there's anything I should be worried about for me personally because I'm not showing any signs of it. I also go tanning frequently and was curious if that could have prevented them and that's why I don't have them??
