My Boyfriend Had His Kidney Transplant A Year And A

My boyfriend had his kidney transplant a year and a half ago before we even started going out. I've been diagnosed with hsv 2 and now I don't know how this will affect his health. I'm really worried that if we stay together I could harm him with the infection but I don't know if I could lose him. He knows about it and is worried for his health too. I don't know what to do.
