My Boyfriend Has Episodes Of Seeing Or Hearing Something He

My boyfriend has episodes of seeing or hearing something he feels is out of the ordinary. He will become obsessive about it and go as far as to create assumptions and scenarios that are outrageous. For instance, he looked at my face last night and thought my forehead looked like it was smoother than usual. He asked if I got botox that day (which I did not and told him that). He proceeded to examine my face and said he saw poke marks and proceeded to spend several minutes on his cell phone looking up information about botox. I am at a loss here and not sure if there's some sort of mental health issue?
