My Boyfriend Has Small Paper Like Cuts Under The Tip

My boyfriend has small paper like cuts under the tip of his penis noticeably after sex. I feel fine afterwards & am normal. So is he minus the cuts. He put neosporin on the cuts & they have started to heal. We've had sex multiple times before& only with each other, why would something like this happen now?
