My Boyfriend Is 51 Yr Old & Has Said He

My boyfriend is 51 yr old & has said he is finding it hard to hold is urine , normally you know when u need to go to the toilet , but it comes on sudden & he's finding it hard to hold on .
This has only just started a week ago .
He thinks it could be a water infection ?
I'm concerned he needs to be checked out for prospate problems ?
