My Boyfriend Unused His Inhaler And Then Decided To Go

My boyfriend unused his inhaler and then decided to go use spray paint. He was in a large garage with the entrance door open, but not the big garage door. All of a sudden he began feeling very ill. He had to have help going up the stairs since he couldn't control his walking. Also has headache and upset stomach and has since been throwing up and has diarrhea. He's refusing to go to the dr due to him having to be at a job in a town 3 hours away tonight. I need to know how long will these side affects last and when will he be ok to drive?
