My Brother Had His Gall Bladder Removed Thursday Of Last

My brother had his gall bladder removed Thursday of last week. The surgeon cut the bile tube, he is still in hospital in major pain. Intravenous set up, has not eaten or drank anything for 7 days. Tummy is swollen, yellowish and skin is "shiny". The Dr that performed surgery say's everything is fine. What now?
