My Brother Has Advanced Myasthenia Gravis And Is Told That

My brother has advanced Myasthenia Gravis and is told that Dialysis Fistula is the next step but I am not sure where to go to find out more for him. I am not sure yet which medications they have tried but they have also given him three blood transfusions while hospitalized in intensive care in CA. Not knowing his doctors or knowing his medications I want to find out more about this disease and weather or not it is carried in our genes or if this is specific to him. I am told that it is not hereditary but does it run in families with siblings? He has recently had a heart attack and had splints put in and is being told that surgery is out of the question for a year. What do you think I should help him with as he works in Washington DC and lives in CA. He commutes by air every week. I am afraid for his overall health with this situation but he said last week that he wanted to take a long walk off of a short pier and that is not his way at all. Please advise.
